Here is a little bit of info about me!
I am: mother of two gorgeous little boys, originally from Australia, currently living in HK, and slightly obsessed with DIY and pretty things for home interiors.
My current obsessions: anything gold, animal print, black and white, peonies, Moroccan wedding blankets, kilim rugs, lucite, pink, sunburst mirrors (preferably in gold!), velvet sofas, tufted sofas, antlers, leather armchairs the colour of a Cuban cigar, walnut wood furniture, mid-century modern furniture legs (especially the ones with brass caps), antique furniture, fiddle leaf figs, bamboo furniture, Chinoiserie, succulents…. Honestly, this list could be endless. If it’s pretty, I like it!
Things I am not too keen on: chevron (I am now officially over it), tablecloths (no idea why, but I just don’t like them), pictures hung too high on a wall (I’m looking at you, baby boomers…), yellow knotty pine anything.
As a designer: I am passionate about affordable design. As a mum to two young boys, I love the challenge of creating super stylish, beautiful rooms on a tight budget. I am drawn to clean, modern lines in furniture but also love me some antiques and, of course, a few DIY touches!

Hi Dee,
Great article about your home at Playtimes. Thanks for sharing.
One question if you don’t mind. I note with interest the wall system in some of the pictures where a rail is installed at top of walls with thin wires running down and holding what look like heavy picture frames. I wonder what system is that and where can I buy it in Hong Kong?
Many thanks.
Kelvin
Hi Kelvin, Thanks for reading! We had a guy named Jimmy install the picture rail for us. He works most days at a gallery on Hollywood Rd and does odd jobs on his days off. If you email me at adornation@outlook.com I can send you his contact details.
