So how about this for some art, eh? What? It doesn’t grab you? Not your style, maybe?! Hey, I don’t think this is anyone’s style. And it hasn’t been for a very long time! Which is why I scored such … Continue reading
Before we left Sydney I managed to squeeze out one last little DIY makeover. This was one of those projects that I was mulling over for quite a while. A long while, really. We have a grog (liquor) cabinet that … Continue reading
Not a very subtle name for a paint colour, is it? And as expected, whatever you paint in this colour will certainly not be blending into the background! I picked up a very pretty dresser on EBay for $50ish. I … Continue reading
Our move to Hong Kong is getting closer and closer and we are slowly whittling away at our belongings trying to get it to a point that we can fit into a little apartment. And it means that all those … Continue reading
The 1980’s called and it wants its lamp back. My mum had a lamp base. A particularly awful one that looked like it belonged in the 1980’s. Sadly, I think she bought it much later than that. Much, much later … Continue reading

Back to the point of this post though! I hope that everyone has a fantastic time over the Holiday period and gets to spend some time with loved ones. For me, Christmas is all about friends and family and I love this time of year. I also love Christmas carols – drives my husband batty that I put them on ALL the time. I do limit myself to just Dec 1st – 25th though. Not like I listen to them all year! Who doesn’t love a bit of Bing Crosby at Christmas though??!
A little while ago I did a post asking for some audience participation (read it here). Breaking News: The child’s peacock chair is done! There was no real consensus on comments but everyone’s colour suggestions were really great. It would … Continue reading
Or better yet, decorate one! I think this may be my first IKEA hack. Although I’m not sure it counts as a hack if you still use it for the purpose it was designed for. I’m not using a bed … Continue reading
